These are several blogs that make a lot of money, and that is the same reason I recommend you start a blog.
I’m not using this as an example to show you how much you can make (even if I know you could), and I’m not showing you to make you think it’s impossible.
Although most bloggers will fail miserably, thousands and thousands of bloggers make anywhere from $5k – $20k+ in monthly income.
If you want to see the type of income possible with a single blog, these blogs will help realize that possibility.
I will not use examples like Parents.com or other sites run by billion-dollar companies because, well, that won’t help you much.
If anything, it will confuse you even more, and eventually, you’ll be wondering why your blog is failing.
Let’s not go there, but rather take a look into what normal people like you and me are making with their simple, niche websites.
Examples of Blogs That Make A Lot of Money
There are many benefits of blogging, and of course, making money is one of them. Most people won’t believe it’s possible to make a dollar using a blog.
Don’t let that stop you, or, you’ll just become another statistic.
If you’re still wondering if regular people like yourself are making money online or what kind of income they’re making, it’s always good to see others that are doing it.
Here are some realistic and better examples of blogs that make a lot of money in different niches.
1. The Broke Backpacker
As a blogger, I follow all kinds of bloggers in many niches.
One that has always crossed my path is called thebrokebackpacker.com
This blog started out as a backpacking site and has grown into a full-on travel site that makes a lot of money.
It’s grown from a few bucks a month with one writer to thousands of dollars a month with a whole team of writers.
Not only is this a great example of blogs that make a lot of money, but it also shows you that slow and steady wins the race.
2. This Online World
As a publisher, I know how hard it is to build a site in the financial/money niche.
Underpaids is one of them, but I built it in a way that serves the right audience.
With Thisonlineworld.com, Tom (the owner) created the site in college to learn how to make money online.
What started as a side project has now turned into a cash-producing machine.
Tom does reviews on different money-making programs and surveys, and also shows different ways to make things work “online”.
It’s a very simple blog that gives good information and is one of the better examples of regular niche blogs that make a lot of money.
3. Nomadic Matt – Unveiling the World of Budget Travel
Another blog that is at the forefront of the travel blogging niche is Nomadic Matt, founded by Matt Kepnes back in 2008.
This blog stands out for its detailed guides on budget travel.
Matt has cleverly monetized his platform through affiliate marketing, where he earns commissions for recommending travel products and services.
Furthermore, sponsored content and the sale of his travel guides contribute significantly to Nomadic Matt’s income stream.
So if your goal is to become a smart traveler, I recommend you visit their blog.
4. Pinch of Yum: The Fusion of Culinary Pleasure and Profit
Pinch of Yum, run by Lindsay Ostrom, has become a culinary paradise for food enthusiasts.
Lindsay monetizes her blog through a multi-faceted approach, incorporating sponsored content, affiliate marketing for ingredients and cookware, and the sale of her e-cookbook and photography resources.
This diversified income model has proven to be a recipe for financial success.
5. Pull & Pour: Everything Coffee
Pull and Pour, run by Andrew Pautler, is a website all about coffee, coffee recipes, and recommendations for your morning brew.
It is monetized through several different means and has grown to be a large success. Affiliate links for coffee shops, sponsored content, and branded apparel are part of its strategy.
The blog has grown over time to the point where brand image has become valued enough by its audience to sell merchandise.
I highly recommend its recipes for your next morning brew.
