These are several blogs that make a lot of money, and that is the same reason I recommend you start a blog.
I’m not using this as an example to show you how much you can make (even if I know you could), and I’m not showing you to make you think it’s impossible.
Although most bloggers will fail miserably, thousands and thousands of bloggers make anywhere from $5k – $20k+ in monthly income.
If you want to see the type of income possible with a single blog, these blogs will help realize that possibility.
I will not use examples like Parents.com or other sites run by billion-dollar companies because, well, that won’t help you much.
If anything, it will confuse you even more, and eventually, you’ll be wondering why your blog is failing.
Let’s not go there, but rather take a look into what normal people like you and me are making with their simple, niche websites.

As a blogger, I follow all kinds of bloggers in many niches.

This blog started out as a backpacking site and has grown into a full-on travel site that makes a lot of money.
It’s grown from a few bucks a month with one writer to thousands of dollars a month with a whole team of writers.

As a publisher, I know how hard it is to build a site in the financial/money niche.

Another blog that is at the forefront of the travel blogging niche is Nomadic Matt, founded by Matt Kepnes back in 2008.
