If you can get apple music for free, why pay for it?
We don’t always have to pay for certain things in life.
Oftentimes, it just requires a little digging.
With soaring gas prices, who wouldn’t want to save money every month, especially with all these monthly subscriptions?
Things are so bad that saving on our water bill is one of our concerns, and galavanting is no longer part of our day.
Things are way too expensive!
For today, I want to show you several ways to get Apple Music for free so that you don’t have to pay their new price of $10.99 per month.
Ways to Get Apple Music For Free
I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for ways to save money.
What better way to save money than to get something for free?
Like with Netflix, there is a free way to get Apple Music without forking out a dime.
There’s usually a catch, or eventually, you’ll end up paying for it later.
I’m not sure what you’re trying to accomplish, but in the meantime, here are several ways to get Apple Music for free.
1. The Free Apple Music Trial
As big as apple is, it’s amazing that they still offer a free trial and give students discounts.
Other companies like Netflix don’t offer student discounts or give a free trial.
But, as they say, money makes you funny.
If you want to get Apple Music for free, the best way to start is through their monthly free trial.
Remember that once your trial is up, you will need to fork out $10.99/month, which is $1 higher than last year.
Don’t be like me and build out different playlists to have it gone after my trial expires.
You don’t need to do much to get a free Apple Music trial.
The website and app clearly explain things, as that’s the first thing you see.
If you have a friend or family member who is the lone ranger on their Apple Music account, now would be a great time to piggyback on their subscription.
I’m not saying you should be a freeloader, but make some deal with them.
Take their dog for a walk every week or mow their lawn.
I don’t know.
Get creative, as I’m sure we are all busy and could use a hand somewhere.
The best part about these family plans nowadays is that they allow you to have separate Apple Music accounts.
You no longer have to share playlists and all that, so great job on that part, Apple.
3. Get Shazam
Those of you who don’t have Shazam (yet), good for you.
This is one way you can get apple music for free because you want to figure out who sings what.
Shazam is a great service, and they work great with Apple.
And, if you plan on using them, you can get Apple Music for free.
They have been around since “there’s an app for that,” and they were the first app that ever impressed me.
Who would’ve thunk that an app could tell you who sang what?
That was impressive back then, but I’m sure the kids these days will think I’m crazy.
4. Buy an Apple Product
Planning on getting AirPods?
Now you can get Apple Music for free.
If you get AirPods, HomePod Mini, or Beats, you can get six months’ worth of free Apple Music.
This is the simplest but most expensive way to get apple music for free, but it’s well worth it if you purchase any of these products.
If you plan on getting your next Macbook from Bestbuy, they’ll give you six months of apple music for free.
5. Try Apple One
Okay, this isn’t really getting you Apple Music for free, but it does give you access to other Apple services and a $7 discount on your monthly bill.
This will be a great option if you use Apple TV or upgrade your cloud storage.
You get to bundle these Apple services, and there is also a free trial.
Once this one-month period is up, it will cost you $16.95/ per month.
However, this is what you get.
- Apple Music
- Apple TV+
- Apple Arcade
- 50GB of iCloud
Why Get Apple Music For Free
Who doesn’t like free?
Some of us might be broke for now, and free is about all we can afford.
That’s okay, though, as we all go through rough patches.
It’s all about how you react and get through things that matter.
And if apple wants to give you something for free, why not take it?
Well, that’s because sometimes free isn’t always the best option.
At least in this case.
Why You Shouldn’t Get Apple Music For Free
With every good thing comes its downside, which holds true with the free things in life.
Although you want to get Apple music for free, it’s not something you want to do if you love to create playlists.
Unless you plan on renewing your apple music service, you can say goodbye to your playlists.
All that work of downloading and putting together your favorite playlists will soon be gone.
That’s when the $10.99 price tag you were trying to avoid comes into play.
Apple Music For Students
These days, $10.99 still sounds pricey, but that’s about standard now.
Apple does offer some discounts after your free trial expires.
If you’re a student, you can enjoy a $5.99/ per month payment for up to 48 months.
If you’re still in school after that, you reverify your status.
However, that $10.99/ per month figure returns once you graduate or stop attending school.
Apple Music For Families
If you have multiple people using apple music, you can always use their family plan.
This can give you up to six users with their designated accounts.
This means each person gets their personal library and personalized recommendations.
This, of course, will cost a little more than the average price, but it’s worth it if you have a family.
It’s also worth noting that Apple has upgraded things for a better individual experience.
After Your Free Trial
Some of you might not want to see a $10.99 charge to your credit card, so don’t forget to cancel Apple Music.
If not, you might be sweating bullets as they will charge you that $10.99.
The process of canceling is not as complicated as it used to be, so follow these steps, and you should be fine.
Forget having to dig through things to cancel, as I’m sure Apple has figured out that trapping its customers is not great for retention.
Conclusion – Get Apple Music For Free
Getting Apple Music for free is great, but it does have its cons.
If you are fine with having it for a month to six months and then canceling, go for it.
If you don’t want to waste your time creating a playlist to have it deleted after your free trial, then maybe you should think about things first.
Don’t forget that you can always jump to a free Spotify trial if you’re simply looking to listen to free music.
Besides that, I hope you have found some of the best ways to get Apple Music for free.
